Ingredients
Cocoa Butter
Cocoa butter is made from cocoa beans, making it a natural ingredient. Cocoa butter helps keep the skin hydrated without feeling greasy. Cocoa butter has an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effect, making it useable for all skin types.
Shea Butter
Shea butter in extracted from the nuts on a Shea tree. Shea butter is natural, rich in vitamins A, E and F and very low in the proteins that can trigger allergies, making it safe for all skin types. Shea butter’s fatty acid contents allows for it to absorb into the skin, leaving it evenly moisturized while also restoring lipids and locking in moisture. Shea butter is also anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti bacterial and anti fungal, making it great to soothe skin conditions (ex. eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis), sun and skin burns, wounds and even insect bites.
Mango Butter
Mango butter is extracted directly from the seed of a mango. Mango butter is also antioxidant with with mineral and vitamins such a A, C and E. Mango butter can act as an added protective layer that can help moisturize and even help soften the skin. Vitamin C helps stimulate the production of collagen while also working with Vitamin E to help protect the skin from environmental stressors such as sunlight, pollution and blue lights from screens, which could lead to skin damage and premature aging.
Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is extracted from the meaty insides of mature coconuts, making it natural. Coconut oil is made up of natural fats which locks in moisture and the skin. Coconut oil has anti microbial properties that help protect the skin from harmful microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi. Coconut oil could also help to treat acne, inflammation, dry skin and even treat skin conditions as well as healing wounds.
Beeswax
Beesax is produced from worker bees that creates a honeycomb to store their colony’s wax. Beeswax is a humectant, which helps attract water, keeping the skin hydrated. Beeswax can also create an added layer of protection on the skin while also being a natural exfoliant. Due to beeswax’s antibacterial agents, it can be used to treat skin conditions, burns cracked/chapped skin and wounds.
Vitamin E
Vitamin E is a natural, essential nutrient with anti-inflammatory properties that helps support the immune system, cell function and skin health. Another benefit of Vitamin E is that it helps reduce UV damage, symptoms of atopic dermatitis and fatty liver disease. Stearic Acid
Stearic acid is a saturated long-chain fatty acid, which is found in humans, animals and some plants, making it a natural ingredient. Stearic acid is a surfactant, which helps water and oils blend together. Using stearic acid prevents products from separating as it is also an emulsifier, which prolongs the usages of products. Stearic acid is also non-photosensitive, non irritating and non-carcinogenic.
Optiphen
Optiphen is a preservative that helps kill harmful germs such as bacteria, yeast and mold. Optiphen is parabean-free and formaldehyde-free. Optiphen not only kills off germs, it is also responsible for the smooth, lotion-like feel of the products containing optiphen.
Emulsifying Wax
Emulsifying was is extracted from fatty acids and plant oils, making it a natural ingredient. Emulsifying wax helps improve the consistency and texture of the skin without the greasy film feeling while acting as a stabilizer and greatly moisturizing the skin. Using emulsifying wax, similar to optiphen, helps to make a creamy, smooth product that can can easily be applied and used by any and all skin types.
Arrowroot Powder
